How does concierge medicine work?

Our office functions just like any other medical office during the daytime. We see patients in the office, bill insurance, and take copays/coinsurance, etc. We ask our patients to call the office for routine requests such as medication refills, school notes, copies of shot records, or to speak with one of the nurses.

In addition to the above, each family pays a monthly concierge fee that allows us to keep the practice relatively small. Our typical day consists of about half the number of patients seen in a traditional pediatric practice. This allows for longer appointments where we can take the time to get to know you and your family. In addition, parents are given an “after-hours” cell phone number to use in case of emergencies. Parents can text us or call us for advice any time in the evenings or on weekends. Overall, parents get the peace of mind of knowing that someone is always available to help them if there’s a problem.
